Xalapa, Ver., 25 de octubre de 2016.- La Secretaría de Protección Civil (PC) reiteró el llamado a las autoridades municipales y sociedad para estar atentos y extremar precauciones, debido a que se prevé que la vaguada sobre el oeste y suroeste del Golfo de México se fortalezca conforme un sistema de baja presión comience a organizarse sobre el noroeste del Caribe.
Tal situación estará provocando que se mantengan las condiciones para lluvias en gran parte de la entidad, así como la persistencia e intensificación del viento del norte en la zona litoral, efectos que serían más significativos entre jueves y sábado.
Por lo anterior, se ha emitido un Aviso Especial con la finalidad de realizar las acciones de prevención correspondientes. Se estima que el potencial de lluvias aumente a partir del miércoles y se mantenga hasta finales de la semana.
Precipitaciones acumuladas en 24 horas con valores de 5 a 20 milímetros y puntuales superiores a 50 ó 70 mm podrían registrarse, especialmente en llanura y costa del norte y sur (entre las cuencas de los ríos Tuxpan al Misantla, región de Los Tuxtlas y parte baja de las cuencas de los ríos Coatzacoalcos y Tonalá); mientras que en el resto de la entidad serían de 5 a 20 mm y puntuales superiores a 30 ó 50 mm.
La intensificación y ampliación de la vaguada sobre el suroeste del Golfo de México obedecerá al incremento del gradiente de presión en esa área, dando lugar a viento del norte en el litoral veracruzano (entre Laguna Verde y el puerto de Coatzacoalcos), con rachas estimadas para hoy de 35 a 45 kilómetros por hora, para mañana entre 45 a 55 km/h y del jueves al sábado de 65 a 75 km/h.
Entre jueves y sábado el viento del norte alcanzaría rachas de 45 a 55 km/h en las regiones de Xalapa-Misantla; es probable que el oleaje en las proximidades de la costa desarrolle alturas de uno a 1.5 metros.
En relación con la temperatura diurna, se prevén pocos cambios; registrándose por las noches y madrugadas un ambiente frío a fresco con probabilidad de heladas ligeras en porciones serranas.
La Secretaría de Protección Civil recomienda a la población estar al pendiente de las actualizaciones de los pronósticos meteorológicos o, en su caso, de la emisión de la Alerta Gris.
