Petróleos Mexicanos, como parte de su Programa Anual de Financiamiento 2017 y su estrategia para diversificar fuentes de financiamiento, colocó en los mercados internacionales de capital un monto de 4 mil 250 millones de euros en tres bonos de referencia a 4.5, 7 y 11 años:

i)          1,750 millones de euros con vencimiento en agosto de 2021, una tasa de rendimiento de 2.51% y un cupón de 2.50% ;

ii)         1,250 millones de euros con vencimiento en febrero de 2024, una tasa de rendimiento de 3.84% y un cupón de 3.75%.

iii)        1,250 millones de euros con vencimiento en febrero de 2028, una tasa de rendimiento de 4.98% y un cupón de 4.875%.

La operación registró una demanda aproximada de 18 mil millones de euros, equivalente a 4.2 veces el monto asignado, con la participación de fondos de pensiones, administradores de portafolios e instituciones financieras de Europa, Asia y Medio Oriente, entre otros. Los agentes colocadores fueron BNP Paribas, Crédit Agricole, Deutsche Bank y HSBC.

Los recursos provenientes de esta emisión se utilizarán para proyectos de inversión estratégicos de Pemex y operaciones de refinanciamiento.

Esta transacción, junto con la operación de pre financiamiento realizada en diciembre pasado por 5,500 millones de dólares y las líneas de crédito disponibles, cubren las necesidades mínimas de financiamiento de Pemex para 2017. No obstante, la empresa podría llevar a cabo actividades adicionales de financiamiento en los mercados de deuda con el objetivo de seguir fortaleciendo su posición de liquidez, conservar disponibles las líneas de crédito, mantener presencia en mercados clave y desarrollar nuevas fuentes de financiamiento, así como  fondear anticipadamente las necesidades financieras de 2018.

Esta operación reafirma la confianza de los inversionistas en Petróleos Mexicanos como Empresa Productiva del Estado, así como en las oportunidades que ofrece la Reforma Energética que propician el desarrollo competitivo de la institución y del sector de hidrocarburos en México.
