Xalapa, Ver., 12 de diciembre de 2016.- Como cada año, los floristas alistaron las coronas guadalupanas que se llevan en procesión a la basílica de El Dique, en Xalapa.
Una corona con más de mil rosas amarillas para la virgen de Guadalupe dio muestra de la fe que los xalapeños tienen hacia la llamada “Emperatriz de América”. A Marcelino, el florista que la elaboró le llevó 12 horas armar la base y colocar una a una cada rosa amarilla.
“Lleva aproximadamente mil 200 rosas. Desde que se cortó la madera hasta ahorita me llevé como 12 horas más o menos. Lo que hacemos es cortar la madera, hacer la horma. Lo más difícil es hacer el armazón, cortar y poner las flores cuesta menos”.
En las florerías ubicadas en la avenida Xalapa, familias enteras se dedican a armar y adornar estas coronas, previo al 12 de diciembre con el fin de que los peregrinos cumplan su manda al llevarlas en procesión al santuario de El Dique. Junto con su esposo Gabriel Aburto y sus dos pequeños hijos, Maribel Martínez alista estas coronas.
“Primero se corta la madera, se hace el armazón, llevan todo un proceso porque se tiene que hacer pieza por pieza. Posteriormente pasamos todo esto y lo hacemos manualmente. Son flores de hule, por lo regular son los tres colores: el verde, blanco y rojo. Para tenerla ya hecha me tardo como dos horas, porque metemos flor por flor”.
Los precios variaron de los 500 y superaron los mil pesos, según el tamaño y la cantidad de flores que llevaran.
Una vez listas, los devotos las acomodan en sus vehículos para así llevarlas en procesión, entre cantos por las avenidas que conducen a la basílica menor de El Dique.
