Xalapa, Ver., 19 de octubre de 2016.- Veracruz participa activamente en la lucha contra el cáncer de mama; por eso, el día de hoy impulsamos la conciencia preventiva en todas las mujeres, porque nuestro compromiso es combatirlo, expresó el Gobernador Flavino Ríos Alvarado.
Durante la conmemoración del Día Internacional de la Lucha contra el Cáncer de Mama, el mandatario presentó a Dulce María Ríos Guerrero como Presidenta del Sistema Estatal para el Desarrollo Integral de la Familia (DIF), un área de apoyo indispensable en la materia, al tiempo de destacar el trabajo que en el tema de la salud se ha realizado en Veracruz.
“Este día, se tiene un compromiso para combatir esta enfermedad; es una responsabilidad con la vida de las mujeres, porque son el pilar de las familias y la sociedad. Tenemos mucho por hacer, por lo que en todas las jurisdicciones sanitarias difundimos acciones de autocuidado para prevenir los factores de riesgo”.
Acompañado por el Secretario de Salud, Fernando Benítez Obeso, y la presidenta del Voluntariado Gubernamental de los Servicios de Salud de Veracruz, Rosa Elia Cervantes Amezcua, expresó que con las mastografías, las exploraciones clínicas, los ultrasonidos, la densitometría y las consultas generales, se ratifica el esfuerzo que se hace en la entidad, pues los servicios son gratuitos, muestra de que sí se pueden hacer bien las cosas.
“Nuestra encomienda es transmitir a las mujeres que esta enfermedad, si es detectada a tiempo, es curable. Este día es para sensibilizar y evitar el cáncer de mama, lo que nos mueve a la acción y nos demuestra de lo que somos capaces los veracruzanos cuando nos proponemos algo”.
Al señalar que en el mundo mueren 500 mil mujeres al año por esta causa, Ríos Alvarado exhortó a las veracruzanas a realizarse chequeos y reconocer que nadie es inmune al cáncer.
“Sumémonos todos a esta gran campaña, para que todas las mujeres vivan sanas y fuertes; que tengan la vitalidad y energía como mejor reflejo de una comunidad que crece en libertad. Veracruz participa al lado del Presiente Enrique Peña Nieto apoyando a las mujeres”, concluyó.
