Tras darse a conocer la intención de doña Emilia Yunes Suárez, madre del exdiputado local Juan Manuel Velázquez Yunes, de competir por la alcaldía de Perote como candidata independiente, para lo cual solicitó su registro como aspirante, algunos sectores de ese municipio se han pronunciado a favor, al considerarla una persona con buena imagen en ese lugar.
Aunque el Órgano Público Local Electoral (OPLE) aún no ha dado a conocer si fueron validadas las solicitudes de los aspirantes a candidatos independientes, vecinos de varias congregaciones al enterarse de la posibilidad de que Yunes Suárez compita en la contienda del próximo 4 de junio de 2017, en repetidas ocasiones le han reiterado su adhesión a este importante proyecto en bien de los peroteños, ya que coinciden en que Perote necesita gente con arraigo, con compromiso con la sociedad y sobre todo con los sectores vulnerables.
Campesinos, obreros, amas de casa, profesionistas, así como jóvenes coinciden en sumarse a esa posible candidatura, ya que están ciertos que en estos tiempos de cambio es necesario votar por la persona no por un partido, “no debemos dejarnos llevar por los cantos de la sirena, mucho menos debemos seguir siendo presa de las imposiciones o de los caprichos de algunos caciques pueblerinos”, externan los peroteños que ven bien el proyecto de doña Emilia Yunes.
En las colonias de la cabecera municipal es común escuchar la decidida participación de la señora Yunes Viuda de Velazquez, los pobladores saben del trabajo y de la trayectoria, intachable, de su paisana.
Muchos aún recuerdan la mano amiga que les tendió la ayuda cuando ella era la titular del DIF municipal, aún persiste en su memoria el gran alivio que les brindo en momentos tan difíciles.
Ahora sólo están a la espera que los tiempos se lleguen para arrancar de lleno a trabajar en favor de la victoria, en favor de la gran causa social por Perote, “no escatimaremos horario ni día, estaremos dispuestos a trabajar en bien de todos nuestros paisanos que tanto necesitan como alcalde a alguien que en verdad ame a su municipio”.
Los vecinos, al recibir con agrado la noticia de la candidatura independiente de la señora Emilia Yunes, han hecho público este sentir al que seguramente se habrán de unir sin cortapisas, sin contratiempos, sino siempre pensando en el bienestar de los miles de peroteños que necesitan a una verdadera estadista como presidente municipal, a una verdadera persona “que en verdad quiera mejorar nuestra calidad de vida, de llevarnos a vivir dignamente”.
