La secretaria de Asuntos de las Personas con Discapacidad del CEN del PRI, diputada Claudia Edith Anaya Mota, exhortó a los presidentes de los Comités Directivos Estatales de su partido a que postulen militantes priistas con discapacidad como candidatos a diputados locales, presidentes municipales y regidores.
Subrayó que así se dará cumplimiento al compromiso hecho en este rubro por el líder nacional del Revolucionario Institucional, Enrique Ochoa Reza, durante el Encuentro de Secretarios y Secretarias Estatales de Asuntos de Personas con Discapacidad, que se realizó el pasado 30 de noviembre en la sede nacional del PRI.
“Promover y respaldar los derechos político-electorales de nuestros militantes con discapacidad, va más allá de un discurso, forma parte de nuestras obligaciones partidarias.
“Nuestros estatutos, particularmente los artículos 167, 168 y 176, nos mandatan a actuar sin discriminación y buscar la equidad de procedimientos, que permitan a quienes tenemos una discapacidad, participar con nuestras legítimas aspiraciones políticas en igualdad de condiciones que el resto de los militantes”, puntualizó.
Anaya Mota sostuvo que el PRI también tiene la obligación de garantizar la participación de militantes con discapacidad en igualdad de condiciones que el resto de los aspirantes. Nuestros estatutos, dijo, son la guía que nos compromete a anteponer la justicia social a cualquier decisión electoral.
La secretaria de Asuntos de las Personas con Discapacidad llamó a no desaprovechar los procesos electorales del 4 de junio en Veracruz, Coahuila, Nayarit y el Estado de México.
“Debe verse reflejada la voluntad de nuestro país por cumplir con el Artículo 29 de la Convención Internacional sobre los Derechos de las Personas con Discapacidad.
“Y debe hacerse en total apego y congruencia con nuestros documentos básicos. Así lo concebimos en el Comité Ejecutivo Nacional del PRI y así deberán garantizarlo los Comités Directivos Estatales”, resaltó.
La diputada federal zacatecana invitó a los militantes con algún tipo de discapacidad a participar en las convocatorias que ya han publicado los Comités Directivos Estatales.
Aseguró que los candidatos priistas con discapacidad demostrarán que pueden ser sujetos de la confianza ciudadana, para ocupar cargos de elección popular como diputados locales por los principios de mayoría relativa y representación proporcional, así como presidentes municipales y regidores de ayuntamientos.
