Papantla, Ver., 16 de noviembre de 2016.- En días pasados, el Centro de las Artes Indígenas (CAI) participó en el encuentro tribal Raíces de la Tierra, llevado a cabo en Callejones, VI Región, Chile.

Al evento asistió la Abuela Luciana Pérez Tiburcio, integrante del Consejo de Abuelos del Kantiyan, quien compartió sus enseñanzas a mujeres mapuches, principalmente lo relacionado con su experiencia como partera y la transmisión de este saber heredado por las abuelas.

El objetivo de la celebración fue comprender la existencia de diversas lenguas y tradiciones en un sólo universo, por lo que se busca la unión de los pueblos a través de un gran rezo. De ahí que por cuatro días se reúnen representantes indígenas, validados por sus comunidades como guías, y rezan juntos, según sus propias costumbres por la tierra y la humanidad.

El encuentro con sabios de diferentes partes de América surgió en la década de los 70 y desde entonces se ha convertido en un puente de comunicación y cooperación entre líderes espirituales de pueblos originarios.

Durante su desarrollo se abordaron temas como ceremonias nativas, cosmovisión, simbolismo, partería natural, salud intercultural, derechos humanos, sustentabilidad, sincretismos culturales, oralidad nativa, alimentación sagrada y herbolaria natural.

Se trata de una fiesta familiar donde participan niños, ancianos, jóvenes, hombres y mujeres que conviven con cantos, charlas, meditaciones, yoga, danzas, música y exposiciones, entre otras actividades.

Por sus aportaciones, nuevamente fue invitado el Centro de las Artes Indígenas de Veracruz, demostrando que es una referencia en la sabiduría ancestral del pueblo totonaca.
