Ciudad de México, 16 de febrero de 2017.- México negociará con Estados Unidos “con la fortaleza que nos dan el respaldo y la unidad de la sociedad mexicana en la defensa de nuestros principios y dignidad como nación”, afirmó el presidente de la República, Enrique Peña Nieto, al clausurar este jueves la 34 asamblea general ordinaria del Consejo Coordinador Empresarial (CCE), en el que el organismo cúpula celebró los 40 años de su creación
El mandatario resaltó el diálogo que ha mantenido con el sector empresarial del país antes de la negociación de la relación bilateral con el nuevo gobierno de Estados Unidos y la eventual revisión del Tratado de Libre Comercio de América del Norte.
Agregó que “el acompañamiento de los sectores productivos ha sido de suma importancia en el Acuerdo para el Fortalecimiento Económico y la Protección de la Economía Familiar”, instrumento suscrito el mes pasado con el sector empresarial y en el que también participan gobierno estatales y municipales del país, que tiene entre sus objetivos el apuntalamiento del mercado interno.
El jefe del Ejecutivo Federal agregó que el apoyo empresarial “se refleja en el impulso al empleo, consumo e inversión en México” y consideró que en los cuatro años de su administración hay resultados positivos “que debe motivarnos, porque se han dado en un ambiente mundial desfavorable”.
Durante la asamblea, en la que tomó protesta a Juan Pablo Castañón para un segundo año en la presidencia del CCE, el presidente de la república dijo que ante la volatilidad financiera mundial, y particularmente en el mercado de hidrocarburos, fue necesario llevar a cabo en enero pasado un ajuste en el precio de los combustibles.
Consideró que un precio real de la gasolina promoverá un consumo más racional y a la vez fomentará la inversión en el sector., al tiempo que el ajuste “elimina un subsidio que beneficiaba a los que más tienen”.
El jefe del ejecutivo Federal celebró el anuncio de Juan Pablo Castañón en el sentido de que la iniciativa privada invertirá 3.5 billones de pesos en diferentes proyectos productivos durante este 2017.
