Veracruz, Ver.- En la actualidad, el avance de la tecnología ha permitido que la letra tipográfica se maneje de manera digital y a través de diferentes formas, que se pueden compartir en espacios como las redes sociales, dijo Francisco Calles, organizador de la Exposición Tipos Latinos 2016.
La letra es una expresión gráfica que representa un sonido y es el elemento primordial de la escritura alfabética.
Los tipos son los modelos en que se reproducen los caracteres. Al resultado del proceso en el que se mezclan ambos elementos, se le conoce como tipografía.
“¿Qué pasaría si un día al despertar no tuviéramos letras?, desde la mañana hasta la noche, sería casi impensable, la importancia es obvia, pero resultan trasparentes, son tan comunes que ya no las vemos, nos sirven para comunicarnos, pero aparte le dan un tono particular a esta comunicación por las formas mismas, comunica por la forma de la palabra y por la palabra”.
Francisco Calles, organizador de la Exposición Tipos Latinos 2016, argumentó que la tipografía ha cambiado con el avance de las nuevas tecnologías y formas de comunicación como las redes sociales.
“En términos de la tecnología, pues las letras siempre han estado impregnadas de la tecnología, las formas obedecen muchas veces a la tecnología, hoy en día pues la letra tipográfica en particular, pues sí, evidentemente es digital, es una cuestión tecnológica y que nos ha servido, digamos, las herramientas digitales a tratar de desarrollar nuevas formar que son las que tenemos por aquí y que se pueden compartir precisamente en las redes sociales”, comentó.
Conformado por 14 países latinoamericanos, entre ellos México, la Bienal de Tipografía Latinoamericana, en su séptima edición, llegó al centro cultural Atarazanas del puerto de Veracruz.
El pasado fin de semana se celebró la muestra colectiva de carteles Tipos Latinos 2016.
En el mes de marzo del presente año, este evento se llevará a cabo en la ciudad de Guadalajara.
