El Gobernador de Veracruz Miguel Ángel Yunes Linares, indicó que la detención que se hiciera el día de hoy de Arturo Bermúdez Zurita en el reclusorio de Pacho Viejo, se debió a la denuncia presentada por el delito de enriquecimiento ilícito.
“Me acaba de informar el Secretario de Seguridad Pública, que tiene a su cargo la administración de los reclusorios, que efectivamente esta mañana ha sido detenido Arturo Bermúdez Zurita, exsecretario de Seguridad Pública en el gobierno de Javier Duarte de Ochoa, por una orden de aprehensión librada en contra de él, con motivo de una confirmación que hizo la Fiscalía General del Estado por presuntamente haber cometido el delito de enriquecimiento ilícito”.
A pregunta expresa que se le hiciera al Gobernador de que dicha detención se trata de una persecución política contra las personas que formaran parte de la administración pasada esto comentó:
“No voy a contestar tonterías, es la realidad, ¿usted cree que hay persecución política contra Arturo Bermúdez Zurita? (…) yo no dicto órdenes de aprehensión lo dictan los jueces, y son ellos quienes tienen enfrente el Código Penal, y el Código Penal no establece la figura típica de persecución política, habla de enriquecimiento ilícito.”
Al cuestionarle sobre el tiempo que Zurita Bermúdez estará detenido, el mandatario indicó que eso depende de lo que el Juez determine.
En relación a la liberación que se hiciera a Leonel Bustos Solís, mencionó que un Juez de Distrito fue quien ordenó que su proceso penal lo cursara en libertad, pero que Bustos Solís sigue sujeto a proceso, ya que no hay un auto de libertad porque el nuevo Sistema de Justicia Penal así lo permite. Y que no se considera un revés para la FGE.
Recalcó que gracias a esta detención se está haciendo justicia, se está aplicando la ley que fue su compromiso y no hay ninguna vinculación entre el recrudecimiento de la violencia y la detención de una persona que presuntamente cometió un delito. Al contrario, consideró que aplicar la ley es una clara expresión de voluntad de que en Veracruz las cosas están cambiando, y que van a cambiar, que no habrá más impunidad y precisamente que el combate a la impunidad es lo que permite que se logren más altos niveles de seguridad.
