El Secretario General de Gobierno, José Manzur Quiroga, afirmó que el Gobierno del Estado de México es respetuoso de la libertad de expresión y de las diferentes manifestaciones registradas con motivo de la liberación del precio de la gasolina, e hizo un llamado a quienes realizan estas movilizaciones para conducirse con apego a la legalidad y respeto hacia el resto de la población.
En este sentido, informó que hasta las 22:30 horas se tenía un total de 46 detenidos por participar en actos de saqueo en tiendas de autoservicio y de conveniencia, así como por diversos actos vandálicos, por lo que lamentó que la manifestación de una inconformidad ciudadana sea utilizada como pretexto para robar, delinquir y afectar negocios que generan empleos.
Además, señaló que ha instruido al Comisionado Estatal de Seguridad Ciudadana para que, en coordinación con el Mando Único de los municipios mexiquenses, se refuerce la vigilancia en la entidad.
Manzur Quiroga explicó que en el caso de las vialidades federales que han sido cerradas en la entidad, se ha apoyado a la autoridad federal, quien se ha hecho cargo de las negociaciones para su reapertura.
Por lo que respecta a las vías estatales y municipales que han sido bloqueadas, el gobierno estatal ha privilegiado el diálogo para lograr su liberación, y sólo en un caso donde se agotó este recurso, la circulación fue reabierta con el apoyo de la fuerza pública, siguiendo los protocolos para este fin, sin que se hayan registrado incidentes mayores.
Con respecto a los rumores sobre la supuesta presencia de grupos armados en los municipios de Naucalpan, Huixquilucan y Tlalnepantla, que generó el cierre de comercios, el secretario general de Gobierno afirmó que se trató de versiones sin fundamento alguno, lo cual se corroboró con recorridos realizados en coordinación con las autoridades municipales.
