Xalapa, Ver., 07 de noviembre de 2016.- La Secretaría de Protección Civil (PC) informó que se emite un Aviso Especial, con la finalidad realizar las acciones de prevención correspondiente ante las posibles lluvias fuertes y vientos del norte que se estarán registrando en las próximas horas.
La dependencia estatal explicó que los resultados de los modelos de pronóstico indican que una masa de aire frío, junto con el probable Frente Frío número 6, afecten al estado de Veracruz a partir del próximo miércoles, con incremento del potencial de lluvias, tormentas, viento del norte fuerte, oleaje elevado y descenso de la temperatura diurna.
En las primeros resultados, se observa que las lluvias y tormentas podrían incrementarse a partir de la tarde-noche del martes, especialmente entre las cuencas de los ríos Tecolutla al Misantla, región de Los Tuxtlas y parte baja de las cuencas de los ríos Coatzacoalcos y Tonalá, donde se podrían registran valores acumulados en 24 horas de 5 a 20 milímetros, y puntuales superiores a 50 a 70 mm entre miércoles y viernes.
Por su parte, la masa fría que lo impulsaría estaría provocando un evento de norte fuerte, y prolongado a partir del miércoles hasta el domingo, estimándose velocidad de 45 a 55 kilómetros por hora y rachas de 65 a 75 km/h en la zona litoral comprendida entre Laguna Verde y el puerto de Coatzacoalcos.
El viento del norte puede extenderse a la región montañosa entre Misantla y Xalapa con rachas de 45 a 55 km/h. La intensidad del viento desarrollaría olas de uno a dos metros en las proximidades de la costa.
Por lo anterior, se recomienda a la población estar atenta con las actualizaciones de este aviso, así como tomar las precauciones ante la probabilidad de lluvias y tormentas fuertes, inundaciones urbanas, crecida de ríos y arroyos de respuesta rápida, deslaves, derrumbes y deslizamientos, reducción a la visibilidad, así como por viento del norte fuerte y oleaje elevado en las cercanías de la costa.
