Ciudad de México.- Con motivo del centenario de la Constitución Política de 1917 de nuestro país, el Banco de México emitió un billete de 100 pesos y una moneda de 20, que conmemoran la efeméride cívica.
Tanto el billete como la moneda son de curso legal, lo que implica que se podrán realizar pagos con ambos instrumentos, de acuerdo con su valor nominal, aunque se prevé que muchos de estos ejemplares sean conservados por las personas por su carácter conmemorativo.
El billete lleva en el anverso, como motivo principal, una viñeta en la que aparecen Venustiano Carranza y Luis Manuel Rojas, Presidente del Congreso Constituyente durante la sesión solemne de clausura de los trabajos que dieron origen a nuestra Carta Magna. Como fondo, muestra trazos del Teatro de la República, de Querétaro, y en la parte izquierda se aprecia la Constitución con los numerales 1917 y 2017. En la marca de agua se puede ver el águila mexicana, que ilustró la portada de la Carta Magna original.
El reverso ostenta un grabado de los Constituyentes con la inscripción: “Los diputados protestan guardar y hacer guardar la Constitución Política de los Estados Unidos Mexicanos, en el salón de sesiones del Congreso Constituyente en Querétaro, Querétaro”.
La moneda de 20 pesos en su anverso lleva, como todas las monedas del país, el escudo nacional rodeado por la leyenda “Estados Unidos Mexicanos”. Mientras que el reverso lleva estampada como motivo principal una composición en la que aparecen de izquierda a derecha: Pastor Rouaix, diputado constituyente; Venustiano Carranza, Primer Jefe del Ejército Constitucionalista; Francisco J. Múgica y Heriberto Jara, Diputados Constituyentes, con la portada original de la Constitución Política de los Estados Unidos Mexicanos de 1917.
El billete y la moneda tienen diversas medidas de seguridad, a fin de evitar su falsificación.
