Xalapa, Ver., 23 de enero de 2017.- Su fe y afición por la arquitectura inspiraron en Edder Rafael Aguilar el replicar en maquetas exactas las principales iglesias católicas de Xalapa.
“Cuando estaba en la preparatoria pasaba seguido por el centro. Estudié en la prepa Juárez. Veía las iglesias, los edificios antiguos y todo… como que me entró una espinita para poderlas reproducir. Hacer algo representativo a Xalapa y algo que tenemos, lo que más nos representa es la Catedral… Empecé con una maqueta sencilla, muy simple, con el paso del tiempo la volví a reconstruir. Fui haciéndola parte por parte, fui mejorando mi técnica”, cuenta mientras muestra los detalles de su maqueta de la Catedral Metropolitana de Xalapa.
Al reproducir las fachadas de parroquias como El Calvario, San José, Los Corazones, La Piedad, la capilla de Las Ánimas y la Catedral no ha pasado por alto detalle alguno, pero lo que más sorprende es la exactitud con la que decoró los interiores de estos templos, colocando imágenes, retablos, vitrales, lámparas y hasta el propio órgano en el caso de la Catedral de la Inmaculada Concepción.
“Lo más difícil para mí fue hacer las lámparas y los santos, porque son tan pequeñitos. Los de Catedral son de dos centímetros, pero los de El Calvario, los de María Magdalena son de centímetro y medio, algo con miniatura que cuesta hacerlo”.
Edder Rafael se apoya con la cámara de su celular, pero asegura que es visitando prácticamente todos y cada uno de los rincones de las iglesias como logra memorizar todas las zonas para así armar y pintar a mano todas las áreas.
“Esta es la casa parroquial. Aquí hay salones parroquiales, esta es la casa del padre, abajo están los baños, donde anteriormente era como un lugar de reliquias de Rafael Guízar y esta parte que está acá es la casa de las madres. Es una parte que solamente los que hemos tenido una gran amistad con el padre hemos conocido y que el padre me ha permitido meterme a toda la Catedral”.
El arte sacro que conserva la parroquia de San José, el de la iglesia de El Calvario y los estilos de las capillas de Santiaguito y de Nuestra Señora de la Paz merecen especial atención en estas maquetas.
Edder Rafael pide un espacio para exhibir estos templos representativos de Xalapa en sus maquetas, pues hasta ahora son pocas las personas que las conocen.
“Que me apoyaran con un lugar que esté en el Centro Recreativo, el Ayuntamiento… aunque sea nomás un día, exponerlas, para que la gente pueda ver el trabajo y no se queden con las ganas de ver el trabajo que yo he hecho”.
