Xalapa, Ver, 27 de diciembre de 2016.- Durante 2017, la Secretaría de Desarrollo Agrario, Territorial y Urbano (SEDATU) reorientará sus esfuerzos en el otorgamiento de subsidios a la vivienda hacia el sector de la población que percibe hasta 2.6 salarios mínimos, a fin de que las familias de escasos recursos puedan hacerse de una casa, cuya renta les sea accesible y no les propicie abandonarla.
No obstante, la titular de la SEDATU, Rosario Robles, anticipó que a consecuencia del recorte presupuestal ocasionado por el entorno económico mundial, esta secretaría reorientará su política de subsidios hacia quienes menos tienen, es decir, a aquellos trabajadores que perciben hasta 2.6 salarios mínimos, y así “garantizar las mismas 130 mil acciones con subsidio que se han hecho este año”.
Además, la SEDATU fortalecerá sus acciones para atender a aquella población no afiliada con necesidades de vivienda, a través de políticas específicas de mejoramiento y de construcción con apoyos que se otorgan desde la CONAVI, para programas específicos como Vivienda Joven, Vivienda para Migrantes, o desde FONHAPO o la Comisión Nacional para el Desarrollo de los Pueblos Indígenas ─ viviendas para indígenas o viviendas para mujeres madres solteras─.
Otra de las características de la nueva Política Nacional de Vivienda es que plantea un elemento muy importante: construir vivienda para construir ciudades, y en consecuencia se construyan hogares de no menos de 45 metros cuadrados con dos habitaciones y todos los servicios básicos y cercanos a los centros de trabajo, de las escuelas y de los medios de transporte.
