Martínez de la Torre, Ver., 27 de octubre de 2016.- Con un llamado a mantener bien firmes nuestros valores, actuar con responsabilidad y a trabajar diariamente en beneficio de los veracruzanos, el Gobernador Flavino Ríos Alvarado entregó la Medalla Rafael Martínez de la Torre y reconocimientos al Mérito Cívico 2016 a pobladores distinguidos de este lugar.
En el marco del 135 aniversario del municipio de Martínez de la Torre, exhortó a los ciudadanos, en particular a los jóvenes, a hacer de Veracruz un estado donde la responsabilidad, la civilidad y la cordialidad sean la constante que marque el desarrollo de la entidad.
Acompañado por los integrantes del Cabildo local, el mandatario reiteró que “en la medida en que se mantengan los valores, se actúe con responsabilidad y se trabaje diariamente en beneficio de los conciudadanos, el pueblo reconocerá sus aptitudes, ya bien sean cívicas, deportivas, sociales o literarias. Ese es el camino”.
Aseguró que, en el desarrollo de un pueblo, lo más importante son los ciudadanos, pues en ellos se encuentra la gran fuerza de Veracruz; “las maestras, los maestros, agricultores, comerciantes, profesionistas, albañiles, taxistas, empresarios, hoteleros, restauranteros, son una gran fuerza que tiene Veracruz”.
En sesión solemne, el Gobernador premió al profesor Leopoldo García Guerrero con el máximo galardón que el Ayuntamiento de Martínez de la Torre otorga a sus habitantes, y subrayó que en Veracruz, el Gobierno es coordinador del esfuerzo diario de sus ciudadanos.
El profesor García Guerrero agradeció la distinción y reconoció que no todo en la vida de un estado o un país es labor de sus autoridades, pues cada integrante de una sociedad tiene que poner de su parte y hacer lo que le corresponda; “creo que si cada ser humano pone un granito de arena, podemos construir un Veracruz moderno, nuevo, útil y justo”.
Durante la ceremonia celebrada por única ocasión frente al Palacio Municipal, se entregaron los siguientes reconocimientos al Mérito Cívico 2016: A la Excelencia Educativa, Carmen Rojas Aguilar; a la Conservación de las Tradiciones, Adela López Moncada; a la Beneficencia Pública, Alonso Núñez Poisot; a las Acciones a Favor del Medio Ambiente, Fundación Yepes AC, y Mérito al Esfuerzo Deportivo, Carlos Cortés Celis.
