Xalapa, Ver., 24 de febrero de 2017.- Del 3 de marzo al 18 de junio la organización teatral de la Universidad Veracruzana abrirá su primera temporada de funciones del 2017; destacando el cuarto año de Estridentópolis, el regreso de la carnicería escénica de la obra Psicoembutidos y la primicia del concepto y dramaturgia de trabajo experimental “el puro lugar”.
El director de la Orteuv, Luis Mario Moncada, reconoció que la administración de la UV ha hecho un gran esfuerzo porque no se recorten programas para mantener el apoyo a cada una de las áreas. “Nosotros en particular no podemos decir que hemos tenido un recorte, hemos tenido dificultades de operación, de pronto ciertos problemas de liquidez en cuanto al flujo de recursos y demás, pero no hemos tenido un recorte, hemos podido realizar nuestras actividades, que por otro lado se han visto favorecidas porque nos hemos vinculado con otras áreas realizando coproducciones” indicó Moncada.
Añadió que Estridentópolis es símbolo de la fundación de la compañía titular de teatro de la UV y del proceso que vivió en los últimos años de resistencia, defensa de la integridad, del presupuesto y capacidad de gestión.
El dramaturgo y autor de esa obra, Luis Enrique Gutiérrez Ortiz, mencionó que pocas ciudades y universidades del mundo pueden presumir de contar con un mito fundacional ligado a la vanguardia artística del siglo XX. “Ahora que fue todo el problema del dinero, que Duarte se lo robaba, y todo esto, la obra estaba en las calles con altavoz, siendo un emblema de la universidad, el sentido de por qué hacemos esto y de por qué vale la pena está universidad”.
